FAQ
New patient appointments are $500 lasting 60 – 90 minutes.
Follow-up appointments are $230 lasting 30 – 60 minutes.
The first office visit is spent discussing your health concerns and medical history. If you have any past lab and diagnostic reports available please bring them for review. Often further labs will be recommended to evaluate functionally how your body is working to give better direction for treatment. Usually nutritional supplements and/or herbal therapies will be recommended at the second visit but sometimes it’s appropriate to start a supplement or herb at the first visit given the medical history.
There are many labs available to evaluate your health issue. The most common labs I use address:
- Adrenal
- Thyroid
- Hormones
- Digestion
- Neurotransmitters
- Heavy metals
*Lab costs vary depending on your insurance.
I see patients by appointment. Feel free to reach out to schedule an appointment at my location in Restorative Health, located on Wisconsin Street.
I ask that you fill out the new patient forms before your office visit so you only need to arrive 5-10 minutes before your visit.
Please call the office Monday – Friday between 10:00am – 6:00pm at (202)407-8888
This varies depending on how complicated your medical history is. Generally conventional and/or functional labs are given at the initial office visit so a second office visit would be necessary to review that lab and then treatment will be recommended. Depending on your health needs routine follow up visits are advised to assess your progress.
Yes, it’s important to review your labs in-person to allow for a complete explanation and full understanding of how the results could be impacting your health.
No. Most labs will be kits that can be done at home or in the case of a blood draw you will be able to either go to a convenient blood draw station or have it done in our office.
Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) cover office visits, supplements, and labs. Some insurance companies will also cover office visits and labs depending on your plan. A receipt with medical coding will be given to you at the end of each visit which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Not at this time.
The use of nutritional supplements and herbs are therapies. Ideally we use them during the process of finding resolution of your health issues but sometimes it’s necessary to use some supplements long term to maintain health.
This is usually when someone comes to see me. Conventional medicine hasn’t been able to identify or resolve the health issue. With a thorough discussion of your health and functional lab insight, we can find more answers to permanently resolve problems.
I offer genetic interpretation of 23andme and Functional Genomic Analysis raw data. This data is an incredibly powerful tool to identify potential problems and address existing problems. By knowing your genetic tendencies we can be proactive with your health and try to prevent illness related to inflammation, toxicity, poor methylation, cell damage, and stress.
